2012 Fisher Senior – Megan
Megan is my first senior girl of 2012. When we set the date for the sitting, I was hopeful we would luck into some more incredible weather, but no luck. Cold, wind and rain/sleet forced us to stay in the studio to create magic. Hair and makeup artist Sarah Kellems created great looks for each outfit, ranging from fun and flirty to Audrey Hepburn elegance. I was my usual insane, “oh my god, we’ve gotta try this” self, and Parkland intern Carly Wilson was tasked with lights and props. Thru it all Megan was AWESOME. She totally rolled with all of my crazy ideas and contortions. I feel like we captured the heart of who she is with her senior photos. See for your self!
2012 Fisher Senior Pictures – Chaney
Chaney is our senior from last night. Yep, we were shooting outside, freezing our butts off. However, as you will see, it was totally worth it! Chaney had some really great ideas for her senior pictures, and was game for anything! Finally we came into the studio so she could have some photos with her adorable dog and to show off her great new smile!
2012 Mahomet Senior Pictures – Maggie
Maggie’s senior portrait sitting is hands down the most unique shoot I have done yet. Her portraits are a combination senior portrait and senior photostory. If you cannot guess from the images, Maggie likes to bake….alot! She wanted something that would speak to her passion, so after a few formals in the studio, we went to her kitchen! She proceeded to demonstrate her awesome culinary skills and her “signature” recipe for blueberry muffins! I can tell you for a fact that they were very, very good!
2012 Fisher Senior Pictures – Dakota
Senior photos in the fall are so, so much fun! You have fallen leaves, temps that don’t make you break out in a sweat if you think too hard, the beautiful colors of the turning leaves, and some really, really sweet light. Dakota was very insistent about being outdoors in the woods, but also admitted being addicted to bling and other things that sparkle. Hmmm! I provided the woods in and around Fisher, and she brought the bling and a total willingness to try anything. We had such a blast and got such wonderful, wonderful images!!!!
2012 Mahomet Senior pictures – Ana
Beautiful girl+ beautiful weather + beautiful locations = More Awesome Senior Pictures by Laura Trovillion Photography
2012 Uni High Senior – Leah
Senior portraits are always alot of fun. When you add a gorgeous day, dramtic skies and a beautiful fashion savvy senior, it doesn’t get much better than that! Leah is a Senior at University High School in Urbana IL. She is very into photography and architecture and fashion, so the U of I campus was a great backdrop for her incredible photoshoot! We climbed trees, crawled over walls, dodged ultimate frisbee players, got upclose and personal with a rosebush and ultimately toughed out being swarmeed by mosquitoes to get some awesome photographs. Here are a few of my favs!
2012 Fisher Senior – Ashley
Ashley’s senior portrait sitting was on the Uof I campus. She wanted trees, and flowers, and grasses and cool architecture, and what better place than campus! We started at Japan House with their beautiful scuptural trees and outdoor spaces. Then we hiked to the Idea Gardens, with gorgeous flowers and grasses. Finally we headed to east campus and Krannert, the Spurlock Museum and the Administration Building for cool brick, glass (for reflections) and water. Its great to keep finding and experiencing new places and new looks in ordinary places. Ashley was super fun to work with and we got some just incredible photos!!
2012 Fisher Senior – Logan
Logan’s senior portrait sitting was such a trip! We planned very carefully to accomodate as many of her ideas and concepts as possible into a single shoot. We chose Lake of the Woods Botanical Gardens as our starting point because of the many different venues in one place and ease of access when hauling props! ( like a chaise lounge) As you can tell, we got several different looks from that wonderful location! She was also insistent upon a piano shot, and not a normal sitting on the bench playing the piano, but something dramatic and unusual. I think we managed it! And last, but not least, in keeping with my two recurring themes this year ( fire and water) we ended up in her backyard after dark, shooting the rain shot. Love it when it all comes together and totally ROCKS!!!
2012 Monticello Senior – Jesse
Jesse is from Monticello High School. Since it was so close, I just had to take her to Allerton Park for her senior portrait session! We found some great places to use as background, and Jesse was such a great model to work with! We were incredibly lucky that the weather cooled down and was just simply beautiful for her shoot! She had a special request that we do a few shots with her very best friends, so we have tacked on some BFF shots for you to see as well.
2012 Hot Fisher Senior- Connor
Literally, the heat index was like 115 degrees, but Connor is an absolute doll, so we made the best of it. We began in downtown Champaign, I just love the brown marble of the News Gazette building, and we were able to shoot on the north side, out of the sun and wind. Bentley, her dog, was the secondary star of this shoot venue, then he went home with grandma! We hit a couple of other fun places like the old train station,( I love the brick drive) and the outdoor seating at Cafe Luna and their incredible “grafitti” walls! Then we were off to campus and the quad while there are very few students around! And at the end of a long, very hot session, she had a bit of a splash in the fountain!!!
2012 Senior – Marissa
Marissa didn’t know it yet, but she’s definately an Anthropologie girl. Her concepts for her senior shoots and sense of style are anthro all the way. To capitalize on this, we needed a really cool location……and we found it at Allerton Park in Monticello. Beautiful vistas, incredible architecture and brickwork, reflecting pools and Fu Dog Gardens were all in one amazing location. We even saw deer! Marissa is an incredibly outgoing, bubbly kind of person, but she also has this very centered, calm, serious quality as well. She makes my job very easy, and I feel that we captured elements of both the fun side and the serious side of this 2012 senior. Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think!
2012 Senior – Jacy
Jacy chose to have a more urban theme for her Senior portraits, so we went down to Champaign and found all kinds of color and texture for backgrounds and a water fountain to play in! During our planning session, she brought up her love for sidewalk chalk, so we paid homage to her chalk artistry. Finally we went to the lake at Greenwood acres where she shows us just how elegant you can be in a beat-up rowboat! Silly, serious, intense, dramatic and just plain beautiful are all words that I would use to sum up Jacy’s senior photos. Take a look and let us know what you think!
2012 Senior Pictures – First official shoot!
Elyssa is my very first official senior shoot of the 2012 class. Elyssa was the brave one, the one who didn’t hang back to see what others would do. She didn’t waver on what to wear, where to go, when is perfect….She went first. First is gutsy and hard, especially when it is as hot as it has been here in Central Illinois, but as you can see she sailed thru this senior portrait shoot beautifully.

Laura 2011
Laura’s senior sitting was such a fun mix of tomboy, girl next door and magazine ad model. She and her mom scouted a totally amazing sculpture garden in Meadowbrook Park, and then more great vistas and backgrounds at the U of I arboretum/idea garden. Then we were off to downtown Champaign, where we lost daylight, but found cool things to do with the various lights and signs and alleyways. Finally we ended up back in Fisher for some laid back studio shots. All together it was a pretty awesome shoot of a pretty awesome girl!
Olivia 2011
After being rained out the first time, we finally got Olivia down to campus for her shoot! It was sssooo much fun and she was game for anything. We did grunge, we did wooded scenic, we did architectural, we did grandeur, we did it all and had a blast doing it!
