Varner Family Sneak Peek
After being rained out on Monday, we had a perfect evening yesterday for the Varner’s family portraits on their farm. Technically this isn’t the best photo from the shoot. It’s the one that makes me smile. You can’t look at those happy faces, and not want to smile. This is just one of those times where genuine smiles and laughter trump all.

Fisher Senior Portrait – Hayden
Hayden is a Fisher High School Senior. He has a quick smile and an intense stare. He’s a bit of the class clown with a passion for baseball and fishing. He promised his mom that he would give full co-operation for an hour, and then had enough fun that he gave us TWO Hours! Here is a quick peek at what we did!
Fisher Senior boy – Gilvie
Gilvie is a 2014 Fisher High School Senior. I am impressed that he took the time to chose locations around Fisher that mean something important to him. Impressed because he took the time, and impressed by the locations he chose. He may drive his mom a little crazy, but really he’s a pretty good guy!

I just loved photographing Angie. She has such a great laugh. I found myself working to capture the laugh as well as the sexy! And then Bob arrived and they were just too gorgeous for words! Hair and makeup by Tia Crom.
2013 Senior Pictures – Michelle
Michelle is a very pretty, kind of quiet Senior at Fisher High School. Due to the crappy weather, we were unable to do any location photography, but these photos aren’t about the surroundings, they are about the beautiful person in front of the camera. Baby Pictures – Alleigh Rose is 3 months
This darling little diva was a pleasure to photograph, just to see what she would do next. I didn’t get a lot of the traditional gummy grin pictures, but the variety of her expressions is just adorable.
2013 Fisher Senior – Brendan
Senior boys with trucks, cowboy hats and flaming bats…what more could a photographer want? I had a great time photographing Brendan’s senior portraits this week. We totally lucked out with nice weather, not warm enough to go without a coat, but at least we weren’t freezing to death, it is February after all! I wish him luck at SIU where he will be majoring in Civil Engineering!

Baby photos – Aiden at 9 months
This is Aiden at 9 months at his grampa’s house! We played in the leaves (even tasted a few) and played with mom. Then grampa got his restoration project out of the garage for some very cool sittin on the engine photos. Someday maybe he will get to drive grampa’s special car! And finally, because his outfit was just too cute, a holiday themed set with a sleigh and a furry friend! Enjoy the gummy grins and beauty that is a nine month old!
Monday morning discovery
Happy Monday Morning! Yeah, not usually this cheery this early in the day or week, but I discovered something that is just very, very, cool. First you need to understand that I am a small town photographer. I mean a really small town, less than 2000 people, in the heart of the Midwest. I was reviewing my stats on my blog, (which is very cool that so many people actually read it) and I clicked a wrong button….And I discovered that since basically March of this year, people from 86 countries have seen my blog. 86 countries…..Can you believe that? It just boggles my mind that people from literally around the world have stopped by my blog for a look. It gives me goosebumps! And that is why it is a Happy Monday Morning!!!

Brazil meets Midwest – Eric
Eric is a foreign exchange student from Brazil, currently attending Fisher High School as a senior. We did his “senior” photos on a beautiful fall day in the two places most near and dear to him; the soccer field and the place he calls home in the US. He is rather quiet and very polite, but his smile is awesome and he was game for all of my crazy ideas! I had a blast and hope he did as well!

2013 Fisher Senior – Katie
Katie is a beautiful senior girl with a passion for bling! Tractors, combines and cornfields, you kind of expect in this neck of the woods, but rhinestones, sequins and sparkles were the fun twist in her senior portrait shoot yesterday. The day could not have been more perfect for our location shoot on her family farm. I really enjoy using places that are significant to the senior as backdrops for these special images. Farms are great places to shoot. There are so many things to use as props and backgrounds and the unexpected twist of a sparkly dress in front of old barn is just the kind of thing we are known for! Katie was amazing: she took direction, had great expressions and worked the poses to perfection! As a result we have some awesome senior photographs to share as her sneak peek! 2013 Fisher Senior Pictures – Jordan
These are a few senior pictures of Jordan, who is my swimmer from last week! As with most seniors, he has lots of interests and hobbies to capture including his Superman t-shirt collection! We had a truly memorable photosession and some amazing light! He took everything in stride and really rocked his senior pictures! Portrait of a Beautiful Woman (and her S.O.) – Lindsey and Faisal
Lindsey and Faisal came to me for some beautiful couple photos to hang in their home…….except Faisal did NOT want his picture taken. People need to understand that when they tell me how much they hate having their photo taken, I consider that a challenge. Fortunately for Faisal, I got some fantastic photos of both him alone and the two of them together right away, so we could turn him loose to go do his thing, and the girls could get down to some seriously fun photography!!!!! Lindsey had no qualms about having her photo taken, and the camera just loves her! She is so full of life and laughter and color and fun! Hair and Makeup by Stefani Smith!
Mother daughter portraits- Chris and Amy
Amy contacted me way back in April about doing a mother-daughter photo shoot with her mom for Mother’s day….except with Amy and her husband graduating college and moving, it couldn’t happen till last week! Chris was totally surprised, and Amy showed us her girly side. It was a wonderful shoot with these two women! Hair and makeup by Sarah Kellems.
The Williams Family
The Williams family took advantage of our complimentary senior family portrait session. We went to the Sangamon River Forest Preserve located south of Fisher. We got some great family photos and some goofy ones too! It was a beautiful evening for a photo shoot and an absolutely lovely family.

Who are you?- Kirsten
In a contemporary portrait, is it enough to just portray a beautiful woman? Or should the portrait convey who she is besides beautiful? This image of Kirsten was part of a concept shoot to illustrate who she is. Personally I think we nailed it. I would love to hear opinions from others who know her. If we were to photograph you, who would you be?

This mom went a step beyond what we have done thus far in that she wanted pictures with her daughter, but also her son.(much to his dismay) Boys and later Men, as a rule aren’t much into pictures, but I think this time we pulled it off. We got some abosolutely gorgeous shots of Tiffany, and then daughter Grace and son Landen. Then we put them all together and had a little fun!
